Masol Family Assistant

A private, household-use personal assistant for the Masol family.

The Masol Family Assistant is a self-hosted personal assistant used by a single household. It is not a commercial product and is not offered to the general public. It runs on a private home server belonging to the Masol family.

What it does

With the account owner's permission, the assistant connects to that person's own Google Account — and optionally their own Oura account — to help them stay organized and informed. Specifically, it can:

• Read incoming email, and organize or label it, so the owner can be briefed on what matters.
• Prepare draft replies and, when the owner explicitly confirms, send them.
• Read the owner's calendars and create or update events and reminders.
• Find, read, and organize files in the owner's own Google Drive.
• Read and update the owner's own spreadsheets and documents — for example meal plans, grocery lists, and shopping lists.
• Look up contacts, to address replies correctly.
• Read the owner's own Oura data — sleep, readiness, activity, heart rate, and workouts — to summarize their recovery and how it relates to their training load.

Whose data it touches

Only the accounts of the person who granted access. Each household member who uses the assistant authorizes their own accounts, and the assistant cannot see any Google or Oura account that has not been explicitly connected by that account's owner. One person's connected data is never visible to another household member's assistant.

How it is controlled

Access is granted through each provider's standard OAuth consent flow — Google for Google data, Oura for Oura data — and can be revoked by the account owner at any time from their account settings. The assistant never sends email or makes changes without the owner's direction.
